Kairos was staring at him, how could she not be staring at him? It wasn't very often anymore that she was caught off guard by things, being aware of every timeline all at once all the time, but this??

"That is not...You're not supposed to..." She stammered over her words, eyes wide as she made a gesture with her hand towards him. "I've never seen this before, and that's saying something." Kairos choked as she almost feared for her own life for a moment. "You...really look like you might wanna kill someone though.." She added in a tiny whisper.

Kairos had been acting purely on adrenaline, her body reacting faster than even she could think as her nails turned to sharpened claws instinctively as a mode of protection. Getting a hit on the man wasn't the end goal but it was quite welcomed if only for the look in his eyes.

She was never meant to be able hit Sephiroth, but seeing his blood dripping down her fingers and pooling slightly in her palm made her entire body tremble. It made her feel powerful in a way that made Kairos's soul ache and she brought her hand up to her face, staring Sephiroth down as she licked his blood from her skin.

"Someone like me...getting a hit on you. Must make you furious, huh?" Even Kairos's voice was trembling as she licked her lips clean of any remnants of blood. "It's not often I see you pissed, you know? It's kinda satisfying." She grinned.

There was rarely a chance he would let anyone touch him, much less damage him in such a way. It was a rather deep gash on his side, and he somehow managed to not react in time. His mind must have been too distracted, more than usual, and he glanced down at the injury with disgust in his expression. Sharp eyes looked at the one who did it, and he found himself smirking despite the anger boiling to the top.

Kairos was peering down at the man from above, perched on exposed scaffolding as her legs swung back and forth. Her gaze was curious with not so much a hint of trepidation.

"Find what you're looking for yet? You've been looking for a while now~" She questioned with a light tone, the corners of her mouth curved up into a slight smile.

Kairos had seen it, continues to see it even. Aerith had died so many times before now, enough that even Kairos had lost count and yet Aerith still persisted. It was something that she found herself almost looking up to, such persistence wasn't seen in many anymore.

"Do you wanna be lonely together, Aerith?" Kairos wondered from where she was crouched just a small distance away from the other, arms resting on her knees and her chin resting atop one of her arms. "I know what's going to happen to. I always do, I know what's going to happen, what's already happened. Even things that may happen." She whispered, eyes wide and curious.

"It really is lonely knowing all that, right?"

"You know how they say 'just because you can, doesn't mean you should'?" Kairos's head tilted as she peered up at him, standing only less than a foot from him.

"Yea, you should take that into consideration when it comes to looking into the timelines." She muttered, her eyes narrowing in slight irritation.

Kairos felt warm, her thoughts hazy and brain foggy as she was kissed in such a way she had never experienced before. Not that she...had a lot of experience to begin with, but she digressed.

It all had happened so swiftly that she had barely a moment to react, and the feeling of it all built up to the point where she couldn't think of anything but the feeling. In reality, something like this really wouldn't happen, really shouldn't happen but Kairos wouldn't complain much now.

That was until she felt a sharp pinch against her lower lip and the tang of iron on her tongue a moment after. Logic finally seemed to return to her foggy head and she managed to tug herself away, feeling small droplets of blood rolling down onto her chin.

"Always thought you'd get me to bleed somehow, but this...was not the way I was expecting." Kairos mumbled, wiping the blood away with her fingers and staring down at the stained skin.

"I think you and I have very different definitions of free." Kairos hummed thoughtfully, fidgeting with the ends of her hair with one hand. "I wouldn't refer to myself as free, but I guess I can see where you're coming from..."

She stared at him curiously, before hopping to her feet and starting to pace around him slowly. "I understand why you ask. From an outsider's perspective you aren't exactly free either." Kairos mused, now tapping the pad of her index finger against her chin and staring up at him as she passed in front. "Though we're pretty similar, right? Bound to the confines of this planet and these...timelines.." She sighed, poking lightly at the small of his back with her free hand. "I'm just a little less...bound to the laws of fate as you and that blond are." Kairos chuckled.

Of all the places to receive an injury, her back had to be the most annoying area. The cut was just underneath her right shoulder blade and crossing just over the center of her back, just barely out of reach and clearly it was visibly irritating Kairos enough for someone to speak up.

Granted she did have to bite back an annoyed remark of how she had it handled, but was cut off by a pained sound coming from her when it felt like a muscle in her arm was about to be pulled. This was just enough for her to finally give up.

"Thanks..." Kairos started with a quiet grumble, pushing the first aid kit in Soleil's direction. "I thought I had it but I guess not..." She pouted.

Kairos's eyes watered with how long she had been staring, prompting her to blink rapidly to recover her blurring vision. The form was eerily familiar and she almost had half a mind to walk away and act as if she hadn't even seen anything.

"I'm...sure it was just an accident. Couldn't control yourself and all that." She said with a reassuring yet haphazard smile. "We should probably get you out of here before someone sees, yea?" Kairos approached the other woman carefully, extending her hand out for her to take and completely ignoring the fact Tifa was covered in blood.

Tifa let out a short, shaky breath, crimson drenched all over her body; a body in which she now noticed was so very different to what she could remember. Confusion was in her eyes, and she looked over at the other when she heard them speak. "Wh--what??" Her mind trying to wrap around the fact that she did indeed force her entire hand through this person's body, sharp talons twitching from the warm blood coating her lower arm.

"I..." Of course this was the worst time to forget why she had done this, and the tail behind her curled around her leg as though to try and comfort those wild emotions that were very much still there. Still hungry for more. "I don't know! I'm so sorry!"

The wind was knocked cleanly out of Kairos's lungs as she hit the ground, squirming and crying out at the slight piercing of his talons into her shoulders. Cloud had never done this before and Kairos had never felt such emotion from him before that it nearly scared her and had her trembling beneath him.

Feeling the movement of his tail had her wheezing, legs shifting to raise slightly and attempt to catch his tail between her thighs so it'd stop moving so much. Every part of her was urging to fight back somehow and yet she couldn't get her body to act.

"It's...It's complicated!" Kairos groaned, back arching off the ground as she tried to wiggle herself away from him. "I can't explain it, you never believe me anyways." She snapped at him.

"........... No. I think I do." He actually growled, and launched himself at her without anymore hesitation. Talons made to grab for her shoulders, aiming to slam her to the ground. He knew this wasn't someone ordinary, and could smell it right off of them. That unnatural scent he didn't pick up before, and how it sent his mind into a frenzy. To have lasted this long without pouncing was quite a feat, and now he felt more alive at hearing her frantic heart beat so quickly.

"What are you? Or do I need to rip you apart to find out?" That threatening tone still coming out so smooth, and the way his blood was starting to boil sent rippling tingles all through his body. His tail flicked once and landed hard behind him, lashing against where she lay on the ground, now. It only showed off how almost irrational, and aggressive he was with needing to know these answers; willing to do whatever he could to get them, as impatient as he was.

Her gaze didn't turn to him immediately when he appeared next to her, still looking down where he had been. Another sigh escaped her, "It's not like I can help it." Kairos said and leaned back on her hands.

Kairos's head tilted backwards to look up at the man, smile refreshed on her face as the outer corners of her eyes squinted slightly. "You want so desperately to win that you scour every little inch of time that you can get your hands on, right?" She cooed in that sickly sweet tone.

"I'm there, in every version of time you look at. You've just never noticed me until now." Kairos hummed, "You can kill me if you want but it'll never stick. I'll just be maybe...a few yards away after this me dies. It's a little messed up, isn't it?" She giggled.

His eyes narrow dangerously, as did his smile turn into something much more sinister as it widened over his face. The darkness of the alley seemed to darken and thicken around him, becoming more solid as it gathered around his feet. Eventually snaking up and enveloping his form.

Moments later, he was up there with her. The shadows having materialized his form mere feet away. He didn't move, just peered down at her with curiosity, awaiting her reaction to his sudden appearance.

"Ah, so you've been spying on me, then? That's quite rude, you know."

Oh no, he wasn't supposed to be able to tell so easily. Kairos was quick to speed up her own steps as she made to back away from him swiftly. That was until she tripped over her own feet and swiftly hit the ground instead.

"Cloud! Come on, do I look like a threat to you?!" She said in a brief exclamation, voice cracking as she still made an attempt to shuffle backwards while still on the ground. Eyes wide as Kairos's gaze shifted down to the exposed fangs, then to his tail as it moved behind him like it seemed to have a mind of its own. "Maybe I am different, yea, but I-I'm very much not a threat you need to handle..!" She pouted.

He paused, considering her words, and of course it made sense to use his energy on the likes of Sephiroth. Though, for once the monster wasn't here to bother him, and he didn't know if that was a good thing or not. Cloud glanced away, distracted by the sound of birds, and the light breeze going through the trees.

"A nobody..." That sharp gaze of his was on her again, and his lip twitched in something of a snarl. The flash of teeth, more prominently those fangs being seen. "...but a nobody that knows of me. And I don't think it's just because of my Ex-SOLDIER reputation." His tone so accusatory, and he made to approach again, tail flicking this way and that. "You're different... like Sephiroth. Like me."

She watched him move with a grace so effortless it looked unreal, like witnessing a dream come to life. Kairos's mismatched gaze met Sephiroth's and she smiled, a smile so sickly sweet it would leave most a hint uneasy.

"I'm right where I want to be." She said simply, the corners of her mouth drooping ever so slightly out of the smile as said smile now failed to reach her eyes. "You've been poking around where you're not supposed to, you know." Kairos added with a sigh, kicking her feet back and forth through the air.

Sephiroth stops in his tracks, head tipping back to look up at the girl. A slight twist of lips turn up in a smirk. He's not sure what to make of what he sees. It's such an oddity. He ignored he question to comment on her current situation.

"That's a rather odd place to be sitting, isn't it? Pretty dangerous."

He shifts his weight to one foot, one hand coming to rest on his hip as he tilted back a little to see her more clearly. He wasn't sure what was off about her, but he sensed... something. So very strange...

"Should I call for someone to get you down? Or are you right where you want to be?"

The curiosity in Kairos's gaze shifted to sympathy, her entire body moving as she made her way to sit next to Aerith instead. Plopping down with a sigh, she leaned back on her hands and swung her legs a bit like Aerith.

"You're always so determined, I see it every time." She mused softly, "It's only recently that I've noticed it though, the loneliness. I'm not surprised it's starting to get to you now, reliving your death so many times." Kairos nodded. "I don't experience it the same, but I've died a lot too."

She fell silent for a few moments as though recalling it all herself. "Every time things loop for you, I can find you, you know? Maybe that'll be a little exciting for you." Kairos giggled.

The thought makes Aerith smile, even if just a little. While she wouldn't wish a fate like this on anyone, it's a bit comforting to know that there's someone else out there who might understand her plight. It's exhausting to go through the same things over and over again. Sometimes they change, but not enough to make any significant difference. She can usually predict what happens and when. She just wished it didn't have to be that way.

"It is. Sometimes I wish things would happen differently just so I could have some kind of excitement. I mean...it's little things. Never anything major. Like...the weather or what someone is wearing or the way they say things." Aerith sighs, shaking her head. "I haven't figured out what exactly it is I need to do. I mean...I know it has to do with me dying, but I don't know how to stop it."

Kairos laughed sheepishly as she took steps backwards to match his steps forwards, keeping a decent amount of distance between them. "Y-You can certainly try..! Definitely won't stick for me though.." She said and waved her hands in front of her almost defensively.

It was strange, feeling his blood lust deep in her gut like this and in such a different, primal way. This was unlike any other Cloud she had felt or seen before and the idea made her uneasy.

"Besides! Wouldn't you want to unleash all that...power o-on someone like Sephiroth? I'm just a nobody, really. Promise.." Kairos stammered swiftly.

Cloud wasn't sure what had come over him, but this feeling wiped away the headaches he would usually get when under so much pressure. It sent a strange sense of calm, but also a hunger he's not felt before. The mask on his face had been retracted, magically so, and his visage he now noticed was extremely different to what he remembered last. Hands were more like talons, and his body felt incredibly too warm.

A tail whipped back and forth behind him, and the weight of it slammed on the ground, but more importantly did he feel the added weight of a particular appendage. One glance back at himself and it unfurled, a massive wing that resembled the Summon he valued the most; Bahamut's.

Mako-filled eyes locked with them, then, as he turned his attention to her and how they narrowed. "Do I?... I s'pose that's right..." If this is what that feeling was, wanting to maim and destroy all in his path? Cloud wasn't too sure, but he was ready for something to stop this itch in his soul; a violent need coursing through him. One step in front of the other, and he loomed closer towards her, gaze simmering with a certain kind of heated stare. "Would you like to try me?"
